2. Boy Erased by Garrard Conley - non fiction  

The son of a Baptist pastor in small-town Arkansas was terrified and conflicted about his sexuality as a young man. Once outed to his parents, they took him to a Christian treatment program entitled, Love In Action, to “cure” him. 

3. How they met by David Levithan - fiction -  Eighteen short stories about love, all kinds of love and how they met. 

4. Small Beauty by Jia Qing Wilson-Yang - fiction 2016 Toronto - The novel explores the protagonist, Mei’s, transness and her experience as a mixed race person of Chinese descent. 

 

5. That's The Way It Always Is by Laurie Frankel - A novel about parenting a transgender child. This book was Sophia Circle selection and the members recommend it.
